We became involved with Flat-coated Retrievers in 1997 after Jim went hunting with one and fell in love. Shadow was with us only a short time, and while he had no titles or ribbons, he was a devoted best friend. In 2002, Cody came to us and a year later came Riley, a half-sister to Cody. We have ventured together into the world of dog shows and other dog activities. They have also been terrific hunting companions, hiking buddies and just great fun!
Behind our home in Connecticut stood a 2-story rock ledge - a favorite spot for every dog to sit and survey the entire neighborhood. From there comes the name of our kennel, Ledgeview. Last year we moved from that home in Connecticut to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
We are members of the Flat-coated Retriever Society of America, Los Alamos Dog Obedience Club, the Northeast Flat-Coated Retriever Club and the Albuquerque Retriever Club. |
